Cuisine at Chalet Myrtlilles
Whilst many of our guests have commented that Chalet Myrtilles is a real home from home where you can feel comfortable and relax, one thing you won’t have to do is cook! Our menus are carefully selected and prepared from fresh local produce and are one of the reasons why people return year after year.
Breakfast
Because we know how important a sustaining breakfast is at the beginning of a days skiing, in addition to a continental breakfast of fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, fresh bread, and preserves you can also choose from a daily cooked option. The choices range from a bowl of porridge or a boiled egg to stuffed crepes or our speciality all in one breakfast.
Afternoon Tea
A delicious afternoon tea is ready on your return to the chalet at the end of the afternoon with a different fresh homemade cake every day.
Dinner
Our four course evening meal served with wine and coffee is a delicious way to relax after a day in the mountains. We pride ourselves on the quality of the food at Chalet Myrtilles, catering for all tastes and any special dietary requirements. A selection of French wines can be served with dinner instead of house wine if your group has sole occupancy of the chalet. Please contact us for details.
Children's Meals
Children under the age of 13 have their own special menu and eat before the adults. A quick chat on the first night usually sorts out any likes and dislikes so that we can make sure no one goes hungry and you can sit back and relax. If you would prefer to eat together for a real ‘family’ holiday let us know when you book and we can adjust the menus accordingly.
Staff Day Off
Midweek the staff have a day off so you will have the opportunity to explore some of the local eating places, in fact one of the best restaurants in the area is practically next door. A full continental breakfast is still served as well as tea and biscuits in the afternoon.
Picnic Lunches
There are several picnic spots scattered around the resort where you can sit and enjoy an outdoor lunch. We can provide a demi-baguette with a choice of fillings, fresh fruit, a chocolate bar and a cold drink for €6. These would need to be ordered 24 hours in advance.
